Christopher Russell is a first-generation Canadian, born in Toronto to British parents. His many television credits include series regular and recurring guest star roles in such projects as SCFY channel’s horror series Day Of The Dead playing first husband Trey Bowman, as well as playing Joe Reacher in Amazon Prime’s Reacher series, based on the best-selling Lee Child Jack Reacher novels. BBC America’s cult hit Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency as the sword-wielding fantasy prince Panto Trost, and Lifetime Network’s critically acclaimed series UnReal, playing Jack, a hopeless romantic. Recurring and guest star roles including FOX’s Accused, NBC’s The Irrational, CBS’s Star Trek: Discovery, Amazon Prime’s Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan, SyFy network’s Van Helsing, the CW’s iZombie, Supernatural, Beauty and the Beast and Nikita. Christopher was the lead in ABC Family Freeform’s sitcom pilot Gorgeous Morons, created by The Office alums Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupininsky, and written by Danny Chun.
Christopher has starred in multiple TV movies including Santa Tell Me, Costa Rica Romance, Operation Nutcracker, It’s A Christmas Thing, The Most Colorful Time of The Year, among many, many others. His feature film credits include V Is For Vengeance, the lead role in the indie thriller Gone Tomorrow, Centre Stage: Turn It Up, the late George A. Romero’s Land of the Dead, as well as The Right Kind Of Wrong, which was an official selection for the Toronto International Film Festival in 2013. Christopher currently lives in Vancouver with his wife and their proudest achievements, their 11-year-old daughter and 8-year-old son.
